GRADE 6
MUSIC SELECTION March, 2003 Dear
Incoming 6th Grade Parent/Guardian, Please complete the attached form in order to aid us in completing your child’s schedule for the 2003-2004 school year. All students participate in our music program. There are four music class offerings from which to choose – General Music, Vocal Music, Beginner Band Class or Band Class (see descriptions attached). You and your child need to select a music class for the next school year. Students participating in Beginner Band Class, Band Class or General Music Class can also elect to participate in the performing chorus one day a week during Period H, our Directed Study Period. In
order to provide a more comprehensive music and band program next year, a
student with their parent’s permission, will only be allowed to make changes
in their choice of music class up to October 1, 2003.
After this date students must remain in their elected music course for
the remainder of the year. Please note that your child will be enrolled in General Music if this form is not returned by March 21, 2003. Sincerely,
McGee
