The Civil War created state loyalties and many strong sectional feelings throughout the North, South, and West. Friends, families, and states were torn apart by the devastation of war. As you navigate through this webquest, you will begin to see what it was like to be a Union or Confederate soldier and you will be able to describe the war from a personal perspective as you become either a Union or Confederate soldier.
